Sy Bosworth fought Germans at the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge, helped liberate a concentration camp and most recently, beat a Covid-19 infection.
On Tuesday, he celebrated his 98th birthday, with the help of staff at a rehabilitation center and officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Second Precinct. Staffers from Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Huntington Station used a cellpone to help him tune in as officers lined up outside the building to sing Happy Birthday to him through the window.
