The Zinburger restaurant at the Walt Whitman Shops will not reopen, citing losses brought about by the Covid-19 shutdown.
The chain announced Friday that it has permanently closed 15 of its 18 restaurants. The three exceptions are in New Jersey.
“Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant financial impact on the restaurant industry and we are unable to reopen your local Zinburger,” the company wrote.
The restaurant opened in the fall of 2013. The original Zinburger opened in Tucson, Ariz., in 2007.
