Zoning Changes, Street Renaming on Town Board Agenda

The Town Board will consider scheduling a public hearing on zoning changes proposed for downtown Huntington and appoint a director of information technology at its meeting Tuesday at  2 p.m.

It will also consider  renaming  East 10th Street from New York Avenue to 1st Avenue as East 10th Street/Dr. Agnes Hiller Way, in honor of the Rev. Amelia Hiller, a longtime pastor known as “the Mother Teresa of Huntington Station” because of her role in raising nearly 50 children, who died in 2006 at age 102.
