Rite-Aid customers, including those who had to change stores when the Rite-Aid pharmacy at 717 East Jericho Turnpike closed last fall, will soon have to find another store.
Many were encouraged to switch to the Rite-Aid pharmacy at 283 West Jericho Turnpike but now that store is closing, too, two employees confirmed over the weekend.
The West Jericho store’s pharmacy is expected to close by the end of April, and the rest of the store by sometime in May.
Rite-Aid and other drugstores around the country have been closing or filing for bankruptcy protection, because of financial problems related to opioid overprescription lawsuits.
