Art Festival Celebrates The Creativity of All

A huge student-produced mural was unveiled Sunday as part of the Spirit of Summer Art Festival.

The festival, at the Spirit of Huntington Art Center, drew participants from numerous Long Island organizations,  as well as families and residents to view, and occasionally purchase, artwork and other items for sale through vendors who filled the parking lot.

The Spirit of Huntington worked with over 500 participants from various organizations including  ACLD, AHRC Suffolk, Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau, FREE – Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Life’s WORC, RISE Life Services, South Huntington School District, Winters Center for Autism, SYJCC-Butler Center, and the Mid-Island YJCC-Adler Center for Special Needs, on the festival.

The center works with students of all abilities to develop their interest and skills in producing art.
