With the campaign season in full swing, organizations are scheduling candidate forums.
The Greater Huntington Boating Council has scheduled a meet the candidates night for Thursday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the presentation to begin at 7:15 p.m., at the American Legion Hall on Mill Dam Road. Invited to participate on the dais are all candidates for Huntington Town Board, and candidates for the 16th and 18th Districts in the Suffolk County Legislature.Invited to be on hand are candidates for tax receiver and town clerk.
The topics for discussion are boating and marine environmental issues.
On Oct. 19, the Huntington NAACP will host a forum at the South Huntington Public Library, from 6:30-9 p.m. All are welcome.
