Deli Owner Opens Pizzeria on Park Avenue

The owners of Teresa’s Lunch Box Deli, which replaced the Rob Roy Deli two years ago, have opened a pizza place in the same center on Park Avenue in Huntington.

Teresa Kefalogiannis and Singh Benipal, her business partner of 24 years, opened the new pizza restaurant, Teresa’s Pizza Box, at 762 Park Ave., a few weeks ago, just a few doors down from its deli.

With a sparkly new storefront, the business has pizza, heroes, pasta and salads, as well as catering services.

“We offer thin crust, more a New York City style pizza on Long Island, not a brick oven,” Kefalogiannis said. “It’s a classic pizza.”

She previously operated restaurants in the city, including one at Rockefeller Center but  closed when the Covid-19 shutdown hit.

Menu items include grandma’s pizza, meatball and ricotta, Sicilian pie, grilled veggie, broccoli and sausage, and pepperoni and chicken cutlet.

Her newest restaurant opened without fanfare but plans a grand opening in the near future.

It is closed on Sundays but open Mondays-Saturdays from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. It can be found on DoorDash.

The lunchbox deli offers the classic deli breakfasts and lunches, wraps, panini and focaccia sandwiches and hot entrees. It is planning to add a  chopped salad bar.
