The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the westbound Northern State Parkway between Exit 42 (State Route 231/Deer Park Road) and Exit 40 (State Route 110) in Huntington will be closed beginning on Monday.
Weather permitting, the department will be resurfacing pavement from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. for approximately three weeks.
Motorists will be detoured onto southbound Route 231 to the westbound Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) to Exit 49 for northbound Route 110 for access to return to the Northern Parkway.
