Huntington Republicans and Democrats are scheduling canvassing times and fundraisers as election season heats up.
Candidates are running for election or re-election as town clerk, Town Board, tax receiver and Suffolk County Legislature.
Here are some of their scheduled events.
Democrat Dr. Eve Meltzer Krief, who is running for the Suffolk County Legislature, 18th District seat, against incumbent Stephanie Bontempi. She is kickinf off her effort Sunday at 4 p.m. at 168 Main St., Huntington.
Republican Theresa Mari, who is running for one of two open seats on the Huntington Town Board, has a fundraiser Monday, 6 p.m. at Industry. To RSVP.
Republican Town Clerk Andrew Raia is having a fundraiser Tuesday at Del Vino Vineyards in Northport, 6-8:30 p.m. He is running for re-election against Linda Davis Valdez.
