Food, Glorious Food: 2 Evenings to Eat Well and Do Good

Two upcoming evenings filled with food and entertainment will also raise money to support Huntington nonprofits.

On Oct. 26, the Huntington Rotary Club’s Taste of the Town will offer food, raffle baskets, wine and beer and more.

Among the providers are: Besito, Joanina, Miko, TOA, Yaaas Tea, Shamrock, SweetiesΒ  Buttercooky Bakery, Edoardo’s, Parea, Marciano’s pizza truck, Over Easy, pHountain Health and Marty’s Gourmet Seafood.

The fundraiser atΒ  Appliance World will benefit the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, Helping Hand Rescue Mission, and other organizations.

The Great Chefs of Long Island will mark its 30th anniversary on Nov. 13, presenting dishes from top restaurants around Long Island. The event is scheduled for 5:30-9 p.m., at Crest Hollow Country Club, sponsored by Family Service League, and benefits the organization’s programs for children and families.

  1. Yes my husband and I are actively involved with the lighthouse and helping hand mission. I am wondering if any food sponsors may share something gluten free as I have celiac disease. Not really important but I do not expect to be able to eat anything. But that is not the point. Perhaps may benefit their restaurants if they share option.
