Vulgar graffiti was found on the roof of the Dickinson Avenue Elementary School, Superintendent Robert Banzer said Saturday night.
In a letter sent to parents, Banzer wrote that the graffiti included sexual images, swastikas and racial slurs. “There is no tolerance for acts of racism, hate or vandalism within our district,” he wrote.
Custodians were called to remove the graffiti, and Banzer said the district was working with the Suffolk County Police Department to investigate the incident.
