It may seem far away, but registration has opened for the Greenlawn Fire Department’s Halloween Run.
The 5k run is scheduled for Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. The first 250 registrants will receive a custom, department Halloween themed pint glass.
This is the department’s eighth annual run, not including the pandemic-induced virtual run in 2020.
After the race, there will be an awards ceremony, snacks and food, with participants who are 21 and over getting a free local craft beer.
First place trophies will be awarded for each category, (age, gender, first responder, health care worker)
Second and third-place medals for each category, (age, gender, first responder, health care worker)
