Huntington Commemorates Its Own Lost on 9/11

Huntington remembered those lost on Sept. 11 to the terror attacks on the United States in 2001.

A torrential downpour cut short the Town of Huntington event at Heckscher Park.

A host of elected officials, including members of the Huntington Town Board–Supervisor Ed Smyth, Town Councilmen Sal Ferro and Gene Cook–and Tax Receiver Jillian Guthman, Town Clerk Andrew Raia, US Rep. Nick LaLota, Legislator Manny Esteban, attended the ceremony.

Veterans, motorcycle groups, and friends and families of those who died when the planes hit the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania were on hand as the names of the lost were read aloud.
