Jon Megaris Hair Salon, a mainstay on Main Street for decades, closed Saturday.
“With very heavy hearts we sadly inform you that, after 58 years of serving our beloved clients, Jon Megaris Hair Salon is now permanently closed,” the salon said on Facebook. “It was not an easy decision to make but considering the circumstances, we feel it was our only option. Though we are closing this chapter, we take with us a lifetime of memories and undeniable relationships formed with our clients.”
The salon said staffers would be moving to other salons, including in Woodbury and Syosset.
“We thank you all for your neverending support, for the memories made, and for the bonds formed. It’s safe to say Jon Megaris Hair Salon has been a place where friendships have been formed and life long bonds have been made. Thank you again,” the salon said.
