Keith Brown Named Grand Marshal of 2025 St. Pat’s Parade

Assemblyman Keith Brown has been named grand marshal of the 2025 Huntington St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The Northport Republican was chosen by the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 4 John F. Kennedy at their recent meeting in Huntington.

 The Huntington St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Long Island’s oldest and largest parade.Brown, former Hibernian of the Year in 1997 and an active member, said that he is very excited to be the next grand marshal and continue to honor the history of the Irish in the United States.

Brown will be the fifth New York State assemblyman from the Huntington area to serve as Grand Marshal. The other past Grand Marshal Assemblymen were John G. McCarthy (’69) John Flanagan, Sr. (’74),  Regis B. O’Neil, Jr. (‘98) and  John Flanagan, Jr. (’03).

He is also the fourth father-son to be selected Grand Marshal. He joins John G. McCarthy (’69) and Michael L. McCarthy (‘10), John Flanagan, Sr. (’74) and  John Flanagan, Jr. (’03), Dominick Feeney, Sr. (‘79) and Dominick Feeney, Jr. (‘14) and now  Harry Richard Brown (’78) and Hon. Keith P. Brown (’25).

Through his service to our community and his commitment to his heritage and faith, Keith embodies the very best of the Hibernians,” stated Matthew White, President of the Huntington Ancient Order of Hibernians.

The Grand Marshal’s Ball will take place on March 7 at Oheka Castle and the 91st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will step off on March 9  at 2 p.m. from the Long Island Rail Road Commuter Parking Lot on New York Avenue to the Church of St. Patrick on Main Street, Huntington.
