LI Gay Men’s Chorus Performing Concert Series

In honor of Pride Month and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, the Long Island Gay Men’s Chorus will be hosting three concerts in June called “Love is in the Air!”

Of the three performances, one will be coming to Huntington on Sunday, June 9 at St. John’s Episcopal Church (located at 12 Prospect St.) at 7 p.m., and will feature a diverse set list spanning the decades to include show-tune standards, classic rock favorites and contemporary classics.

“When we were contemplating this year’s Pride show theme, we kept coming back to love – a force that leads us to rejoice, inspires us to care for each other and empowers us to fight injustice wherever it may emerge,” said Bradley Meek, President of the LIGMC Board of Directors. “We have been hard at work since February on the songs we’ll be performing, and I hope you’ll be able to join us to for a night of fun, friendship and community.”

The LIGMC is a community-based organization that uses music to unite the LGBTQ community and fight prejudice and discrimination.

Tickets are $25 at the door and also available online at ligmc.org.

Two other performances are scheduled for Friday, June 7 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City and Saturday, June 8 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook, both at 8 p.m.
