A hotel resident was charged with setting a fire Saturday night at the Rodeway Inn in Huntington Station.
Suffolk County Second Precinct officers responded to the scene and extinguished the fire at the inn at 270 West Jericho Tpke. There were no injuries.
Canine section officers pursued Raymond Pond, 50 and found him more than a mile away. He was charged with second-degree arson. There were also two warrants for him on other charges. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sunday.
