A Bay Shore man was killed early Saturday morning in a crash in Melville, Suffolk police said.
Jhonny Barros-Chauca was driving a 2015 Honda CR-V on the eastbound Long Island Expressway when he lost control of the vehicle, and struck a cement pillar at Half Hollow Road at about 6 a.m.
Barros-Chauca, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
