New in Huntington: Orthopedic Service; Loan Office; Retail Grand Opening

Orthopaedic Associates of Manhasset has opened its newest location at 532 New York Ave. in Huntington.

Established in 1971, OAM offers full-service orthopedic care in Suffolk County.  The Huntington office is the second on Long Island, with the first in Great Neck.

Patients can seek care from orthopedic surgeons specialized in hand and upper extremity, spine, orthopedic trauma, foot and ankle, joint replacement and sports medicine.

“It is vitally important for people with orthopedic conditions to be treated by surgeons who have been fellowship-trained in sub-specialties, making them experts in their field,” said Dr. Richard D’Agostino, sports medicine surgeon at OAM. “We have been treating Huntington residents for years at our other locations, so we are proud to be able to bring specialized care directly to their backyard.”

“As a lifelong Huntington resident, I am thrilled to join OAM in this beautiful new location,” said  Burlage, who is the newest physician in the practice. “It is very rewarding to be able to treat patients in the community where you live, especially when it is as vibrant as Huntington.”

The approximately 6,000 square-foot facility features new state-of-the-art equipment, on-site physical therapy, hand therapy and occupational therapy.

OAM Huntington will also provide care to St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington, led by  D’Agostino who has been the medical director of their athletics department for the past four years.

Embrace Home Loans Opens

 Embrace Home Loans, a national mortgage lender, recently opened an office in Melville.

Public Lands Celebrating

Public Lands, a retail store that is part of the Dick’s Sporting Goods company, plans its grand opening Friday. Officials will be cuttingt the ribbon on the new store at 870 Walt Whitman Road, Melville at 8:45 a.m. the store plans more events open to the public, including a “vendor villlage” Saturday, from 9 to 6,  and Sunday 10 to 5. Brands like YETI, The North Face, Patagonia, NEMO, Carhartt, Big Agnes and more will be onsite and set up in the parking lot, showing off gear and offering product giveaways to folks throughout the weekend.
