A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on Park Avenue early Thursday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Tagried Thompson, of Huntington Station, 33, was walking on Park Avenue, just north of Hartland Avenue, when she was hit by a northbound 2012 Honda Accord about 12:35 a.m., police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Honda, Ramon Mendez, 32, of Brentwood, was not injured.
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating. They asked that anyone with information on the crash contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
