New York Islanders co-owner Jon Ledecky will be honored at a golf outing Monday at Cold Spring to support a boy wtih leukemia.
The “Swing and Sing” outing at Cold Spring Country Club will feature the presentation of a song to Jordan Scheinkopf of Massapequa. Attendees will participate in a live recording, adding their voices to the track. Ledecky’s voice will serve as an intro to the song.
The organization Songs of Love is hosting the outing.
Earlier this year, Ledecky and Sparky, the Islanders’ mascot, surprised Jordan and his family with hand-delivered playoff tickets.
The Songs of Love Foundation, a nonprofit organization known for creating personalized original songs, free of charge, assists children and teens currently facing tough medical, physical, or emotional challenges.
Monday’s event starts at noon.
