A forum scheduled for Thursday will cover the role of the Suffolk County Health Department in the reopening of schools.
Suffolk County Legislator Dr. William Spencer is coordinating the forum, while Suffolk County Commissioner of Health Dr. Gregson Pigott, Huntington Superintendent James W. Polansky and Center Moriches Superintendent Ronald M. Masera will participate. Spencer is chair of the Legislature’s Health Committee.
The forum will focus on how the County Health Department will work with schools to contain the virus through contact tracing and ensuring appropriate measures are taken to protect public health.
