U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi, D-Huntington, spent Monday visiting the congressional district of Brian Fitzpatrick (R – PA), part of a district swap to learn more about the different issues faced by communities around the country
Fitzpatrick will, in turn, visit Suozzi’s district sometime this summer.
The two vice chairs of the Problem Solvers Caucus, spent the day visiting a career technical training school, meeting with local elected officials, holding a round-table discussion with small business owners, and meeting with the local union leadership of the building trades, teachers, and federal public employees. The day ended with an informal gathering of constituents from different party affiliations where the two congressmen discussed the need to put aside party labels and work for the common good.
