Town Board Honors Preis for Contributions to Art Community

The Huntington Town Board honored Erich Preis last week for his contributions to the art world.

Preis, founder of the Spirit of Huntington Art Center, was given a proclamation recognizing his own work as a painter as well as his engagement with and support of the Huntington arts community.

At the meeting, town Councilman Gene Cook donated a painting of Heckscher Park that Preis had made and gave it to the town’s archives.
