Updated: A Dix Hills man suffered serious injuries when he was hit in the head with a brick on Sunday. Aaron Rubin, 20, was sitting with friends when another man allegedly threw a brick at them. He returned home Friday, according to a GoFundMe page set up to assist in his recovery.

A Greenlawn man is scheduled to return to court Friday on charges that he assaulted a man in downtown Huntington over the weekend.
Carlos Rodriguez, 30, was charged with second-degree assault, Suffolk County police said Wednesday. He struck the victim, Aaron Rubin, 20, of Dix Hills in the head with a brick, police said.
The assault occurred outside Little Vincent’s Pizza at 329 New York Ave.
No further details were immediately available.
He was released on bond at his arraignment on Monday.
Rodriguez is due to appear Friday morning at First District Court. He is represented by Suffolk Legal Aid.
