Woman Accused of Stealing $125,000 in Jewelry From Huntington Store Clients

A Lake Grove woman was arraigned Wednesday on multiple charges that she stole jewelry from clients at a Huntington jewelry store.

Laura Bee, 59, is accused of stealng more than $125,000 worth of jewelry over a three-year period from clients of Ever Love Jewelers, at 374 New York Ave.

Suffolk County Police yesterday arrested a Lake Grove woman for stealing from clients of a Huntington
jewelry store over a three-year span.

In some instances, Suffolk County police said, Bee knowingly issued checks with insufficient funds to cover the transaction and then kept the jewelry. In others, she swapped real diamonds for fakes, or used inferior quality diamonds but charged full price.

Bee was arrested Tuesday at her home and charged with seven counts of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a felony, and six counts of Issuing a Bad Check, a misdemeanor.

She is scheduled to return to court Aug. 9 in all seven cases she’s been charged in. She is represented by Huntington attorney  Matthew Brendan Tuohy.
