Eva Casale will set out on her journey of seven marathons in seven days after a ceremony Sunday morning at Huntington Town Hall.
The well-known Long Island distance runner has raised thousands of dollars to assist veterans, running with the slogan EVA–Every Veteran Appreciated.
Each day’s marathon starts and ends in a different part of Long Island, starting the first day with Huntington.
Sunday’s ceremony, which starts at 10 a.m., will honor Gold Star families. She will leave from Town Hall at 11 a.m., and follow a course through parts of Huntington, Commack and Northport.
