Application Withdrawn on Northport Project

A request involving a plan to convert a shopping center and office space in Northport has been withdrawn from Thursday’s Zoning Board of Appeals meeting.

North Fort LLC wants to convert the space at 1015-1019 Fort Salong Road to a mixed-use building with 19 residential units above the commercial spaces. A major issue for the project involved a parking variance that would have been needed because the proposal allowed for only 149 parking spaces, but the zoning rules required 216.

The property is at the northeast corner of Fort Salonga Road and Norwood Road.
