Art League Gets Funding for HVAC System

The Art League of Long Island has been awarded a $25,000 grant  to improve its heating and cooling system.

The grant from the New York State Council on the Arts will be used to replace one of the league’s 10-ton HVAC units that heat and cool the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery.

Capital Projects funding supports the renovation, construction, and acquisition of facilities for nonprofit arts organizations across the state. The program aims to improve the infrastructure and equipment necessary for the creation and presentation of artistic works.

The league said that the new HVAC system will ensure a comfortable environment for artists, visitors, and staff, while also reducing energy consumption and lowering operating costs.

The contract term for the grant is from July 1 to June 30, 2026.
