Six Huntington museums will participate in celebrations of Harry Potter’s birhday between July 28 and Aug.11.
Participating museums include the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, Huntington Historical Society, Northport Historical Society, Walt Whitman Birthplace, The Whaling Museum & Education Center, and Vanderbilt Museum.
Each museum will feature unique events on different dates throughout the two-week period.
In addition, Sweetie Pies on Main in Cold Spring Harbor village and Bon Bons Chocolatier in Huntington village will offer special Harry Potter-themed treats.
“We’re delighted to host this event for the second consecutive year, bringing joy to Harry Potter fans everywhere,” Nomi Dayan, executive director of The Whaling Museum said. “Our goal is to immerse fans in our museums in a special way, fostering community spirit and encouraging exploration of Huntington’s many wonderful museums and businesses. We hope all the wizards and muggles have a fantastic time exploring our museums, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying these cultural experiences.”
“The Huntington Historical Society is thrilled to announce its participation this summer, welcoming all young wizards to the Conklin Barn,” said Stephanie Gotard, executive director of the Huntington Historical Society.

- August 1 | 1pm & 3pm, Fantastical Beasts & Where to Find Them workshop (For Kids): Explore the myths and legends surrounding the many mythic creatures featured in the Harry Potter world and create your own dragon egg adorned with gilded seashells.
