The Whaling Museum in Cold Spring Harbor will once again host a sea glass festival, featuring music, crafts, demonstrations, workshops and more.
The festival is scheduled for July 21.
Among the additions to the festival this year are:
- New Sea Glass & Beachcombing Travelling Exhibition in the mobile truck, “Tumbled by the Sea”
- New lecture space taking place at our neighboring institution, Preservation Long Island (5 minute walk from museum)
- New “Sea Glass on Main” Scavenger Hunt – look for sea glass shadow boxes displayed for you on Cold Spring Harbor’s Main Street!

- Enlarged outdoor tent space at the museum
- New Kids Category in the Sea Glass Contest
- New Sea Glass Fiction Contest for Kids
- New Music by singer & songwriter Rorie Kelly
