Builders to Host Expo, Forum

The Long Island Builders Institute is hosting its annual expo Thursday at the Huntington Hilton.

The expo, which is free and open to the public, is expected to feature more than 100 exhibitors on building products and services.  LIBI said that representatives from town building departments in Babylon, Brookhaven, Hempstead, Huntington, Islip, North Hempstead, Riverhead and Smithtown who can answer building related questions.

At 1:30 p.m., LIBI CEO Mike Florio will moderate a panel discussion titled Exploring Long Island’s Housing Crisis.”

Panelists will include:

  • Brookhaven Supervisor Dan Panico
  • Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer
  • RuthAnne Visnauskas, Commissioner of New York State Homes & Community Renewal
  • Gwen O’Shea, President & CEO of Community Development Long Island (CDLI)
  • Dan Lloyd, Founder & President of Minority Millennials
  • Gabriel Randall, COO of B2K Development
  • Steven Dubb, Principal of Beechwood Homes

The expo will run from 3-8 p.m. at the Hilton.
