The Huntington Community Band will perform a series of concerts in July, ranging from patriotic music to rock and classical numbers.
The five-concert series will take place on the Chapin Rainbow stage at Heckscher Park.
It will begin July 3 with the band’s Spirit of America concert and concludes July 31 with its Headbangers and Highbrow performance featuring boh rock and classical music. A young member of the audience will be invited to conduct the band.
The band has been performing concerts since 1946.
This year’s series is supported though funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and and the Huntington Arts Council, Inc.
