The driver who killed an NYPD officer from East Northport in a hit-and-run drunk driving crash in 2021 was convicted Tuesday of aggravated manslaughter and other charges.

Officer Anastasios Tsakos, 43, was on the scene of a crash on the Long Island Expressway in Queens when Jessica Beauvais, 34, drove her Volkswagen into him, and then fled, police said. He was thrown into the air, landing more than 170 feet away. Police said her blood alcohol was over the limit.

Police pursued her vehicle and she was arrested a few miles away.
