An East Northport man was killed in a collision with a tractor trailer Tuesday in Hartford, Connecticut state police said.
Investigators said that a Toyota RAV4 was headed south on Route 15, when it veered across the highway and collided with the divider between the exit and traffic lanes, police said.
The SUV then struck the tractor-trailer, which was in the exit lane, according to police.
The driver of the Toyota, 77-year-old Douglas Trotsky of East Northport, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The truck driver, a Massachusetts man driving for the United Parcel Service, was not injured, according to police.
