Heat, Humidity and Haze in Huntington

With beaches closed because of rain-induced heatlh concerns, some youngsters turned Monday to Huntington’s spray parks to alleviate the heat.

Temperatures ran in the high 80s on Monday, with heavy humidity in the air  and some haze from Canadian wildfires and ozone effects. Ad advisory on poor air quality continues until 11 p.m.

There’s a chance of showers and thunderstorms later in the afternoon on Tuesday, and a heat index value as high as 96.

Wednesday is expected to be sunny and bright, with a high near 89.
