A market specializing in Japanese foods has opened in Huntington Station.
Kyoto Mart & Deli offers a wide range of products, from snacks to ramen with a variety of flavors and contents, to sushi and sashimi. The store at 274 East Jericho Tpke. is owned by Rosa Lam and Jay Liang.
“It is a combination of a Japanese convenience store and grocery store,” she said.
The store offers a well-lit, friendly atmosphere, with colorfully packaged products lining the shelves, and is open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. each day.
Other products include to-go items as well as prepared foods such as onigiri (Japanese rice balls), poke bowls, fresh vegetables and Japanese drinks.
