HomeGoods Store Opens in Melville

Fran Ranieri of Levittown lined up at 6:11 a.m. Sunday, first in line to enter the new HomeGoods store that opened at 8 a.m.

She said she was “looking for the unusual” when the store opened.  When doors slid open, she led more than 80 shoppers who had lined up in the store’s parking lot.

The 21,180-square-foot store, selling discount home decor items, is at 881A Walt Whitman Road, Melville. HomeGoods said the store is its 70th in the New York market.

HomeGoods merchandise departments include furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, gourmet kitchen and dining, bedding, bath, kid’s décor and toys, outdoor living, pet accessories, storage, workspace and more.

Regular store hours are Monday through Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
