Man Killed by Train in Huntington

An unidentified person was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train early Sunday morning, the MTA said.

The MTA said that “an unauthorized male” was struck at the Lake Road railroad crossing in Huntington.

MTA Police are investigating. No criminality is suspected at this time.

The train 6602 left Jamaica at 1:11 a.m., came into Huntington, and was scheduled to arrive in Port Jefferson at 2:36 a.m.

The fatality occurred just before 2 a.m.
