National Night Out Features Entertainment, Food and Street Hockey

Huntington’s National Night Out is set for Tuesday at Manor Field Park in Huntington Station. Cosponsored by the Town of Huntington, the Suffolk County police department, the Huntington Station Enrichment Center and Target.
Free food, entertainment, giveaways and more are on the agenda. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m.
Entertainment includes  DJ Classic Sounds of Long Island,  Paradise Ice Cream, and Martine McDonald with Mac Bounce.
As part of National Night Out, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office is working with the New York Rangers for a chance to try hockey for free as part of the Rangers’ street hockey program. The sheriff’s office will also be showing its community programs and vehicles. The event is at Dix Hills Park and runs from 6 to 9 p.m.
No hockey equipment is necessary to participate in the Street Hockey Program. Children who plan on participating should wear sports attire and sneakers.
National Night Out has been operating since 1984, and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada.
