Eastbound traffic on the Long Island Expressway will be diverted onto the Service Road starting Monday between Exits 51 and 53.
The state Department of Transportation said the rerouting will run between 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday to allow for a pavement resurfacing project. The project is expected to last about four weeks.
One eastbound lane will be closed between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
