Services to Mark Yom Kippur

Jewish residents of Huntington will observe the most solemn day of the calendar this weekend with special services and a 24-hour fast.

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, begins at sundown Sunday and continues until Monday evening.

Temple Beth El is continuing its traditional High Holy Days food drive, through Monday.

Chabad of Huntington Village will have a kol nidre prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Sunday; on Monday, services are scheduled for 9 a.m., with children’s program at 10:30 a.m., and Yizkor memorial service at 11:30 a.m.

Sunday
Fast Begins: 6:30
Kol Nidrei: 6:45

Monday
Morning Services: 9 a.m.
Children’s program: 10:30 a.m.
Yizkor Memorial Service: 11:30 a.m.
Mincha and Neila 5:30 p.m.
Fast ends 7:27 p.m.

Chabad’s services will be conducted at the Cinema Arts Centre.
