The westbound Northern State Parkway between Exit 45 (Sunken Meadow State Parkway) in Smithtown and Exit 42 (State Route 231/Deer Park Road) in Huntington will have overnight closures beginning Monday from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. for approximately three weeks to facilitate a pavement resurfacing project.
One westbound lane will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Motorists will be detoured at Exit 45 for northbound Sunken Meadow Parkway to Exit SM3W for westbound Jericho Turnpike (State Route 25) to southbound Commack Road (Suffolk County Route 4) to westbound Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) to Exit 51 for northbound Route 231 to return to the Northern Parkway.
