Sheila Bridget Wilk Dies

Visitation is scheduled Thursday for Sheila Bridget Wilk who died Dec. 18 after a short illness.

Born in Manhassset, she competed for the rowing teams of St. Anthony’s High School and State University of New York at Geneseo.

She was a champion Irish dancer, an artist who enjoyed photography, painting and graphic design, and devoted to animals.

At her death, her organs were donated to others in need of transplants.

is survived by her parents, Ted and Sheila; sister Erin; brothers Gavin and Stephen; nieces Johanna and Deirdre; nephew Ted; sisters-in-laws Siobhán and Jen; brother-in-law Matt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Covenant House, at https://www.covenanthouse.org. or Maryhouse. Checks for Maryhouse can be written out to the “Catholic Worker” with “Maryhouse” in the memo and sent to:

Visitation hours are 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at M.A. Connell Funeral Home. A funeral mass is scheduled Friday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 400 Main St., Huntington.
