The Huntington Town Board voted Tuesday to take action against properties deemed to be nuisances or blighted.
After a public hearing in January, the board vote authorized the Department of General Services, or other town personnel, to enter upon the properties to remedy the blight conditions. Those two properties are:
30 Westfield Drive, Centerport and 20 Clay St., Huntington Station.
The costs of the cleanup will be assessed to the owners.
The board also voted to schedule public hearings on two other properties to declare them blighted:
16 Landing Road, Huntington
12 Lancaster Pl., Huntington Station
The hearings are scheduled for the next Town Board meeting, March 12 at 2 p.m. at Town Hall.
