Wanted: Distraction Theft; 7-Eleven Holdup

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime
Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the men who stole
merchandise from a Huntington Station store in December.

Two men stole three pairs of sunglasses from LensCrafters, located at 160 Walt Whitman
Road, on December 13 at approximately 8 p.m. The sunglasses were valued at
approximately $300.

Distraction Theft
Three women, using distraction techniques, stole a wallet containing credit cards from a
person at Five Below, located at 108 Veterans Memorial Highway on Sept. 29. The
credit cards were used at a Target in Commack later that day.

7-Eleven Holdup
A man entered 7-Eleven, located at 613 Broadhollow Road, at 11:16 p.m. on Aug. 5,
displayed a handgun and demanded employees open the register and lay on the floor. The man took between $700 and $800 before fleeing the store.

Family Dollar Theft
A man reached around the counter at Family Dollar, located at 1780 New York Ave., and
used the cash register to add approximately $450 to his online PayPal account without
paying at approximately 9:05 p.m. on Dec. 9.
