Zaro’s Cafe to Mark 30 Years in Business

Zaro’s Cafe in Huntington Station is planning a celebration of its 30 years in operation.

Edmund Zaro said his grandparents opened the cafe in 1983,  which is now owned by their daughters, his aunt. Several members of the family have worked in the Greek-Italian restaurant over the years, including his father.

When Covid-19 restrictions hit, the full-service restaurant switched to takeout primarily, but Zaro said customers are welcome to sit in the dining room. Waitress service is available Friday and Saturday evenings.

Zaro will mark its 30th on Aug. 26 with $5 gyros, live music with DJ Saved by the Rhythm, and free baklava. The event will run from noon to 8 p.m.
