ZBA Hearing Adjourned on Parking at Former Elks Building

A hearing on a request involving parking  at the former Elks building that was scheduled for Thursday’s Huntington Zoning Board of Appeals meeting has been adjourned.

A new date has not been scheduled.

Developer Frank Viteritti Gibson and Main LLC want to build a mixed-use building with 14 apartments on the property at 195 Main St., Huntington. The request  originally scheduled for Thursday’s meeting involved a requirement that the development provide 63 parking spaces, while the property has 39.

Also adjourned from Thursday’s meeting was a  town request for a hearing to revoke an accessory apartment unit at 8 Pomper Court, East Northport.

Public hearings are scheduled on town requests to revoke an accessory dwelling unit for non compliance at 40 Grover Lane, East Northport, 120 Lockwood Avenue Huntington Station, and 43 Ontario Street, Huntington. 

McDonalds Corp. has requested  Special use permit parking relief sign relief and setback relief  to  reconfigure an existing drive thru fast food restaurant with additional drive three-lane  and additional menu boards on west side of 729 Walt Whitman Rd and Yarmouth St. Melville.

The board meets at 6 p.m. at Town Hall
