Chamber Looking to Award Young Professionals

Every year, the Chamber celebrates 30 individuals under 30 who have made a notable contribution to their business, industry, and community.
From artists to entrepreneurs, teachers to financial advisors, our previous classes of honorees are making an impact throughout Long Island.
The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce is inviting nominations for its Young Professionals Awards, honoring 30 residents under 30 years of age.
Nominees can come from any field, from private, to public, government and nonprofit sectors, and range in careers from artist to teacher, to financal experts. They do not have to be members of the Chamer of Commerce, and neither do the nominators.
A panel of judges will select the class of 2023. Over the course of the next few months, nominees and honorees will be welcomed to participate in panels, networking opportunities and more as a way to cultivate and grow their networks.
“Our goal is to facilitate the next generation of leaders through this program,” the chamber said. “Over the course of the next year, the young professionals nominated will be offered valuable networking opportunities, workshops, and seminars to strengthen their skills and connect with others in their field. In terms of nomination, this is not exclusive to chamber members. It’s more about celebrating those who chose to stay on Long Island, despite rising costs and an affordable housing crisis.”
The nominate can’t have turned 30 by Jan. 1, 2023, must contribute to the community through service, and must live on Long Island.
