The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory series “Cocktails and Chromosomes,” a mix of serious science and fun, returns to downtown Huntington.
The series runs on the last Thursday of every month and takes place at Industry bar and lounge.
The Jan. 25 event will feature scientist Jason Williams from the lab’s Dolan DNALearning Center, who will sequence a genome live.
Doors open at 6:45pm, event starts promptly at 7 pm.
Seating is first come, first serve. Standing room is available once the seats are filled. Reserving a ticket on Eventbrite does not guarantee a seat at the event.
The idea behind the series is to give people a chance to learn more about the lab, get a close-up look at science, and get to know the scientists who are leading research at the lab.
